What Do Flying Dreams Mean?

Have you ever had a flying dream? Have you ever wondered why you had it and what it meant?  Wonder no longer!  Here is an example of such an interview, and as you will see, your inner self can tell you why you had it and what it means – from its authentic and unique perspective!  This is an example of a dream that is so simple that it looks like there is nothing to interview: You and the sky; you’re flying.  So, what do you do? Well, you can always interview the sky!

What are fundamental life issues that you are dealing with now in your life?

My orders will stop and I won’t have a job!

The light of my eyes as a child diminished.  In my partnership I couldn’t…I didn’t create my own life;  it was all about him.  I didn’t take care of myself.  I wasn’t aware of it.  He was stronger than I…

Tell me a dream you remember.  It can be an old one, a repetitive dream, a nightmare, or one that you’re sure you understand.

Flying.  I’m up in the air, flying.

Why do you think that you had this dream?

I have a private pilot license.  It feels free and exciting to fly!

These are the characters in the dream…

Me, the sky.

If one character had something especially important to tell you, what would it be?

The sky!

Now remember how as a child you liked to pretend you were a teacher or a doctor?  It’s easy and fun for you to imagine that you are the shape that took form from your color and answer some questions I ask, saying the first thing that comes to your mind.  If you wait too long to answer, that’s not the character answering – that’s YOU trying to figure out the right thing to say!

Sky, would you please tell me about yourself and what you are doing?

I am the sky that Ellen is flying through.

What do you like most about yourself? What are your strengths?

I am above all the realities.  I am detached and apart from the problems of the earth.   I am comfortable and warm.  I can transform my air layers and create clouds.

What do you dislike most about yourself? Do you have weaknesses?  What are they?

I don’t like thunderstorms!

Why do you create them if you don’t like them?

It’s a matter of pressure, highs and lows.

You don’t like the weather conversations you are having with yourself, weather?

No!  Usually I’m blue!

Sky, you are in Ellen’s life experience, correct?  She created you, right? What aspect of Ellen do you represent or most closely personify?

A part of her thoughts?  Leisure!

Sky, if you could be anywhere you wanted to be and take any form you desired, would you change?  If so, how?

I would like to be more stable…

Imagine you are more stable.  What’s that like for you?

The thunderstorms don’t affect me.  Everything would be smoother.

(Continue, answering as the transformed object, if it chose to change.)

Sky, how would you score yourself 0-10, in each of the following six qualities:  confidence, compassion, wisdom, acceptance, inner peace, and witnessing?  Why?

Confidence: 10

Compassion: 10

Wisdom: 10

Acceptance: 10

Inner Peace: 10

Witnessing: 10

How would Ellen’s life be different if she naturally scored like you do in all six of these qualities all the time?

It would be more stable and smoother!

If you could live Ellen’s life for her, how would you live it differently?

I would change the way she communicates.  More interpreting than translating.

(Note: Ellen provides foreign language services for a living.)

If you could live Ellen’s waking life for her today, would you handle Ellen’s life issues differently?  If so, how?

The same way.  It’s a process!

What life issues would you focus on if you were in charge of Ellen’s life?

The same

In what life situations would it be most beneficial for Ellen to imagine that she is you and act as you would?

Always!

Why do you think that you are in Ellen’s life?

To look at her life

How is Ellen most likely to ignore what you are saying to her?

Her thoughts wander!

Ellen, what have you heard yourself say?

To be aware of myself and be on a smoother level.

If this experience were a wake-up call from your soul, what do you think it would be saying to you?

Be aware of myself!

What would your life be like if the thunderstorms in your life didn’t affect you?  When you learn to become the sky, like Ellen did, it won’t!
