Session 4: Goal Setting: How IDL supports you in aligning your life goals with the priorities of your life compass
Why it is important:
Clear goals align intent with action. IDL reframes goals through the priorities of multiple interviewed perspectives, making them more authentic and achievable.
How it works:
By identifying with perspectives that represent different priorities, participants balance waking adaptation with creative possibilities and potentials. Instead of pursuing yoga and integral life practice based on waking goals, these are aligned with emerging potentials.
Interview to Engage:
Identify 5 year, 1 year, 6 month and one month goals in major life areas, including exercise, health monitoring, career, love, family relationships, leisure, and transpersonal development.
Interview, asking for feedback on your waking priorities.
Application/Homework:
- Write one short- and one long-term goal from the interviewed perspective.
- Identify obstacles and supports.
- Implement one immediate, measurable step.
